About The Heavy Metal Review

The Heavy Metal Review is a site created by a journalist with a passion for all things heavy metal. It’s a way for me to get back into music writing again while hopefully providing insightful commentary on albums for fans and newcomers alike. As the sole writer for this blog, I may not always get to certain reviews until after the release date – but on the plus side – this gives me a chance to go through multiple listens before offering a critical opinion. Also keep and eye out for the occasional commentary/classic album review.

If you are a member of an unsigned band or record label looking to get in touch about getting your music reviewed on The Heavy Metal Review, please shoot me an email at heavymetalreview@gmail.com. I will try to check my email at least once a day and respond to any inquiries, but be aware there are no guarantees I will post the review. If I feel an album is not all that great after listening (as in below a 6.0 out of 10 for example), I will likely just choose not to review it, as I’m not trying to knock down any struggling bands out there.

UPDATE: I switched jobs and moved to a new city, so this blog is sort of out of commission right now, but I will still be posting my Best of lists each year. And who knows, maybe some day I’ll get back at it!
